Elaine Brewer-White is co-founder of The Comedy Factory, bringing her 25 years of experience in teaching improv and leading corporate humour workshops to the company.
Elaine began her study of improv and comedy as a member of the world famous Loose Moose Theatre company, under the direction of Keith Johnstone, creator of Theatresports. She has taught improv and comedy throughout B.C. and now serves as Head Workshop Facilitator for The Comedy Factory. Elaine was one of the most popular presenters at the University of British Columbia's Health Imposium 2006.
For several years she taught Improv & Movement for television & film actors at Vancouver's internationally acclaimed acting studio, School Creative.
Elaine is also a graduate of the Emily Carr College of Art and Design, and runs the Laughing Mona Art Studio where she creates one-of-a-kind clay sculpture with a humourous bent. Gordon White
Gordon White, co-founder of The Comedy Factory, has been entertaining audiences of all ages around the world for over 30 years, from regional theatres across Canada, including The National Arts Centre, to prestigious international festivals such as Montreal's Just For Laughs, Seattle's Bumbershoot, and the Singapore International Arts Festival.
Last year, Gordon completed the North American tour of Cirque du Soleil's Banana Shpeel, where he was featured as a lead clown / character. This was his 4th production with Cirque du Soleil, having already played lead clown roles in Kooza, Varekai and Saltimbanco. He recently returned to Varekai which is currently playing to sellout crowds in South America.
Gordon has taught classes and led workshops in physical comedy, clowning and improv all across North America.
Brian Anderson
Brian Anderson has been acting and doing improv theatre since 1992. He's a genuine comical delight that never fails to make audiences laugh with his quick wit and rubbery expressions. Brian's credits include sharing the mainstage with the 'Vancouver Symphony Orchestra' plus featured roles with 'Green Thumb Theatre', 'Yorick Theatre', and Axis Theatre's North American and European tours of the award winning production 'The Number 14'. He has firmly established himself as a popular instructor, having taught improvisation to thousands of people. Brian can hyperextend his right elbow.
Randy Schooley is a long time popular performer and instructor of comedy and improv. Actually, his improv savvy has taken him all the way to Montreal where he was a member of the winning team in the World Improv Championships at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival. Randy's television credits include starring roles in The 11th Hour on CBC, and The Comedy Network's productions, The Unprofessionals, and Rockpoint P.D.
Veena Sood is one of the original Loose Mooser's of the infamous Loose Moose Theatre Company in Calgary, formed over 25 years ago. She's been a popular improviser and comedienne across the country ever since. Veena has also established herself as a principal player on the big and small screen. Her credits include countless lead roles in feature films, movies of the week, and numerous television programs.
Ty Stokoe , while 'down undah' in his homeland of Australia, started his successful career as a versatile comedic performer while being featured in theatrical productions and headlining at comedy clubs. He has also been featured in a variety of roles in television programs and commercials. Ty is even an accomplished professional musician, who can sing and play the guitar 'just like ringing a bell'….oh, wait…no, that was someone else. Anyways, Ty will make you laugh. Guaranteed!
